| For the past ten years Barbara has devoted her professional life to playing music to bring joy into the lives of thousands of seniors. She has taught several weekly sing-along music classes at skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. | |||||
Her students so enjoyed their weekly "fun fests" that they encouraged her to videotape a class so that others could join in on the fun and stimulation that they experienced in class. Barbara was inspired by their encouragement and thus "Front Row Seat" videos was "born" in 1998 with the videotaping of Volume 1 at Drake Terrace, a senior residence in California. Barbara's class of healthy seniors aged 70-100 thoroughly enjoyed starring in the video as they sang, danced and warmed the hearts of viewers. In response to requests from activity directors and caregivers, Barbara expanded her offerings by videotaping Volumes 2 and 3. Barbara happily states,"my love of seniors and music makes me the luckiest person, as I can do what I truly love and bring benefit to others at the same time." |
